I did a jewelry party Tuesday evening. Now I have a bracelet and necklace set to lengthen. I am slowing down own jewelry making because all of my shows are over for the fall. Now I am just concentrating on buying beads for the spring/summer. This afternoon I am teaching Chemistry-not a bead thing at all!. Yes, I am a Science geek/nerd. However, I bet you already knew everything I just wrote above! LOL

I’m not actually doing much this week that has anything to do with glass beads or jewelry making (other than reading about them on the internet and wearing things I’ve made in the past). I just haven’t had time.

I managed to pick up some cute beads at an awesome bead shop in St. Pete Beach, Florida while I was visiting my Mom. Now I better get to designing so I can pass some along for the holidays. Thank you for another opportunity to win a gorgeous focal. Love the beads with different shapes.
Hi… I had a jewelry party Monday night, so I have to make a matching bracelet for a necklace I sold a girl today. That is if my 3 year old will let me. Presently, he is squeezing himself and a couple of blankets behind me in my computer chair. I think he wants to play games on the computer. Trying to literally squeeze me out of here! Also need to make a couple of necklaces and a watch. Those might not happen until tomorrow when he goes back to the sitter! Hope you feel better soon Jelveh. 3 months is a long time to be under the weather!
Nancy, that sounds like a lot of fun, i mean getting pushed out of your chair by your son…I dont know how you moms out there do all the work you do and have time to do more work…hats off to you…

I am having a Trunk Show this weekend. It is my annual event & my other beady friend brings her stuff as well. Lot's of Jelveh beads have been designed into bracelets for the event.

hi jelveh, just finished making hang tags for bracelets i designed for a christmas show a friend is having. also got an acrylic case in the mail today to hold my bracelets. the shelves tilt so i’m thinking about ways to stop them from sliding. my lawn is covered with leaves! kind regards, lisa d., portland, oregon

I can’t believe it but I just received the first “tumbler” from Rio Grande that I have ever owned. Yeah!! So have spent the day “playing” with it…tumbling some old silver that I found in a box that was really tarnished, then trying my hand at hammering and hand stamping some silver disks and wire into neat hearts and swirl designs, then antiquing them and tumbling. A whole new direction for me. Tomorrow I will use the new silver pieces with lampwork beads to make some bracelets!!

Sandi, how cool you got new tools, I did the same thing yesterday, ordered some new glass tools and silver tools (my own x-mas present), course with silver it was just tubing and such, I still have not made the acutall plunge in to working with silver, but I would love to see what you are working with…I love new tools, always fun…

Its not so warm in sunny Florida so I’m working on a few pieces of jewelry for a party that I’m having after Thanksgiving. I just love this cool weather. I can’t wait to get my key beads as they are gifts for my Granddaughters for Christmas. I thought I would put them on a long chain and add a locket and a few charms. They will love them. Hey Carolyn, I am feeling so much better, its been really cold here too, so I kind of got lazy and did not torch on Friday…your keys shipped on Monday or Tuesday, so you should have them by this Monday…let me know when they get there…and love to see a photo of what you end up doing with them…the charms are a cool idea, I have a ton of silver charms just sitting in my silver boxes, looking at me saying, “when will we ever get used?” I have been sending some out as gifts here and there…maybe I will list some, would anyone be interested?
