Can you say hot hot hot??? did I mention is was hot here in Northern California…? well it is, we need RAIN, where is the rain?…even with the heat I did make it to the torch one day this week, the rest of the time I was not going to sit in front of a torch when the kiln controller was reading 98 degrees inside the kiln before I even turned it on, that’s with the lid down, doors of the kiln closed & it was turned off…OK enough whining, I did make some yummy beads that I am listing later today…towards 5pm California time…you can check them out here in my shop…
Last week I spent some time with my mom, my sister & her 2 sweet kids at the beach having lunch & ice cream…I had so much fun with them…

As you can see there is a link above this post to my next class in Turkey at the Glass Furnace in Istanbul, the best school of glass anywhere…I loved teaching there last year & I am looking forward to my next class, the school is a not for profit organization, so the cost you see for the two week, 6 days a week class goes mostly to the school. This cost covers your room & board & the fun activities for the two weeks that you are in Istanbul for, you have to pay for your own way there…please let me know if you have any questions about this very cool class & trip…from the pool side to the great rooms, to the infinity pool & sitting areas, to the library, the galleries, the shop & the class rooms, to the meals by the river & the very awesome people who run the place, oh my gosh did I mention the food, this is one of the best places to visit & take a glass class of any kind at, mine included…

Good day Jelveh, I enjoyed looking at the pictures of your trip. I would love to visit Istanbul. Can't you look onto another continent while standing in another while in Istanbul? It seems I heard that once when talking about places we would like to go. Emma Biggs tables look like mine when I am working to hit a deadline, I had to giggle. Once again, the new beads are just beautiful, just can't make up my mind. I really enjoy your blog and your artwork also.
Hi Jelveh ~ Oh, your niece and nephew are just too adorable! It was hot in Ohio today but there's a nice cool breeze now…looks like rain tonight. Love the rich jewel colors in this week's bead! Oh how I would love to take those classes…well, one day I will!

The new bead is really nice as always, the blues you get in your beads are outstanding and very unique. I love purple right now. Mix it with yellow or green and it makes an awesome summer bracelet.

OH JELVEH your niece and nephew are so so so so cute! Their mom and dad must be really good looking! That's probably where they get their good looks! You should spoil those kids rotten and baby sit them, so their parents could have some free time- they would love their autie even more and theri parents could practice making more good looking kids! JS lol!
hi jelveh – i do not envy with your heat – we regularly go down to 5c at nite & ususally make it up to about 25c in the daytime(i find that hot!!) – it's all what you are used to i guess – it's esp. hard at work where we have no air conditioning because it would be too cold for the old folks – i don't blame you one bit for not wanting to sit in front of the torch!

Well, we finally made it back to HOT Texas! After 2 wks. in Breckenridge, Colorado with 40's at night and 60's in the days, we are just dying here!! Oh well, just have to endure!!
Love your new beads and love the bead I won…now just have to "get beadin'"…Thanks!!! One of my favorite combinations of colors for the summer is turq/lime/purple…..just can't get enough of it!! As for fall and winter…black and ivory is my all time fav, but love the purples, teals, olive greens, etc.

Your niece and nephew are Cuties!!! I wish it was cool here in Reno too, but it is supposed to be 100! And there are fires nearby, so it is hot and smoky…yuk!! I enjoyed the pics of your trip. I really would like to travel someday! As for colors, I really like turquoise/aqua with black. I think it pops!! It would be cool with a touch of red in it too! Yummy!!! Keep up the gorgeous work. :o)

Hi Jelveh, oh I so wish I could do the workshop in Turkey – looks great. Same time as our Art Clay conference here in the UK though. I am glad we are not so hot here at the moment. I don't do hot very well!
